Iratei — I don’t trade the futures markets, and volume is not a major factor for the way I trade. I also haven’t observed a direct correlation between volume and momentum; however, I do believe in “stopping volume”; i.e. a burst of volume seen during a sharp downtrend or uptrend signals buyers or sellers are coming in, and to watch for a reversal.

By the way, I saw a good video interview recently with a full-time futures trader, who describes how he incorporates volume into his trading. Being a futures trader, you might want to check this out: https://youtu.be/I9vDDj3XHNY This same trader also posted some detailed information on Optimus Future’s community forums: https://community.optimusfutures.com/t/daytrading-edge-analysis-trading-ideas-for-es-cl-gc-6e/2769
